A gorgeous, aching reading, Laurie, and this verse is sending me back to the book itself. I will read it and play this recording alongside, as it were. And my God the fire, the Beast... I'm reading Alice Major's new collection, Knife on Snow, in which Norse mythology also has a role, the Giant Surtur who carries a flame-sword....BTW, that is a very lovely-in-simplicity pysanka. There must be a bit of a story behind it?

Дуже дякую, Myrna! That pysanka: I had ideas about that light green, new leaves, an embroidery-like grid of lines and squares...
I've been keeping tuned to the wildfire map these days, wishing for rain from over here. Oh I hope you get days and days of it.
Oh and I have to read Alice's new one too!
